I only seen it because I manage to have my PS workspace background colored the same as dA.
Is it lighter?
That's a good idea to have you PS workspace the dA colour. I usually have to go to my scraps where I have a number of edit images and I change them round to have a look at the image before uploading. Your technique is much better.
Yes... even if sometimes it generates much hesitation between adding a frame or not ... I mainly publish from lightroom by now, but to be sure of the work I pass by PS just to have an idea of what it would be on dA (or to do a last auto contrast/tone/color or so). But yes, that's quite practical to have the dA color as background.
